چکیده

The Gravitational Water Vortex Power Plant (GWVPP) is a small-scale hydroelectric power generator that makes use of the energy generated from vortex flow to turn turbine blades and generate electricity. In this research study, focus was on numerical analysis basin design GWVPP, which divided into three sections: section, transformer section. To support transformation process tangential speed axial in damper plate installed direct rotating flow. effect nozzle accelerating for optimizing also studied reduce blockage caused by process. results indicate designs with have lower velocity outputs due At rate 0.1 m3/s, presence reduces maximum rotation, but at 0.2 it prevents leakage surface. without optimal variation rates while m3/s.

experimental and numerical study of partial admission effect on flow distribution in supersonic turbine axial-gap

in high-pressure axial turbines, when the fluid mass flow is low, the supersonic blades are being used to obtain a high specific work output. to prevent losses due to low blade aspect ratio, the turbine is used in partial admission conditions. the turbine stator is a group of convergence-divergence nozzles that provides the supersonic flow. the design of these nozzles is important, because ther...

A Novel Dual-Rotor Turbine for Increased Wind Energy Capture

Horizontal axis wind turbines suffer from aerodynamic inefficiencies in the blade root region (near the hub) due to several non-aerodynamic constraints. Aerodynamic interactions between turbines in a wind farm also lead to significant loss of wind farm efficiency. A new dual-rotor wind turbine (DRWT) concept is proposed that aims at mitigating these two losses. A DRWT is designed that uses an e...

Numerical and Experimental Investigations for Design of a High Performance Micro-hydro-kinetic Turbine

Design and manufacturing of a high performance micro-hydro-kinetic turbine is discussed in the present paper. The main goal is manufacturing an equipped experimental model of hydro-kinetic turbine with highest energy absorption from water current. A multi-shape ducted turbine comprised of a multi-part diffuser was manufactured that can be converted to many experimental models for studying vario...
